The Electrify Your Ride Program offers 3CE customers that purchase a new battery-electric vehicle with a rebate of $1,500. Customers that purchased a used battery-electric vehicle are eligible for a $1,000 rebate.

Cars and trucks are a major source of smog pollution in Santa Barbara County, and older vehicles cause much more air pollution than newer ones. The Old Car Buy Back program is designed to take older vehicles off the road. A licensed auto dismantler will permanently destroy (i.e. crush) cars and trucks voluntarily retired under this program.
The District will pay you $2,200 for your 2002 or older vehicle if it meets the program requirements. View the full list of eligibility requirements on the program website.

Consumers who purchase qualified residential fueling equipment between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2032, may receive a tax credit of up to $1,000.

Central Coast Community Energy customers are eligible to receive a rebate of up to $3,000 for the purchase and installation of a qualifyng L2 charger. See website for more details.

SCE, in partnership with WeaveGrid, offers the Charge Smart - SoCal program to help EV drivers access valuable benefits, save money and simplify their charging experience. Participants receive a $50 sign-up reward and save up to $600 in annual charging costs. Program eligibility is limited to the "Gateway Cities" zip codes of SCE's territory. WeaveGrid's ChargePerks California provides customers in eligible utility territories (SCE, SDG&E, PG&E, SMUD, and LADWP) the ability to support California's grid resiliency and save up to $700 in annual charging costs in the ChargePerks program, funded in part by the California Energy Commission (CEC). The Consumer Assistance Program's (CAP) vehicle retirement option offers eligible consumers an incentive to retire their operational vehicle. Vehicle owners may receive $1,350 to retire their vehicle at a BAR-contracted dismantler. To determine your eligibility and incentive amount, start the application process on the program website.
