Eastern Kern Air Pollution Control District - DMV Grant Program

In 1990, Assembly Bill 2766 (AB 2766) was adopted into the California Health and Safety Code (CH & SC) Section 44220-44247. AB 2766 authorizes the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to collect a motor vehicle registration clean air surcharge of $4 per vehicle. Revenues generated from AB 2766 are directed for use in the purposes of reducing air pollution from motor vehicles and other related sources needed to implement the California Clean Air Act (CCAA).The District allocates a substantial portion of annual AB 2766 funds to support its DMV Grant Program & DMV Grant Vehicle Voucher Program.. Both programs are designed to provide a mechanism for the fair, unbiased distribution of AB 2766 funds to eligible emission reduction projects located within Eastern Kern County. Eligible DMV Grant Program projects include: Installation of an Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Station, Installation of a CNG Refilling Station, Alternative Fuel Mechanics Training, Public Education Courses, and Innovative Vehicle-Related Emission Reduction Proposal. Eligible projects can qualify for up to $50,000.

Antelope Valley Air Quality Management District - Commercial Electric Vehicle Charging Stations Program

This incentive based program is to encourage local entities within the air district to install electric vehicle charging stations to offer public options for vehicle charging. Ideal projects use commerical-type charging equipment that service at least two electric vehicles or more simultaneously. Eligible sites are retail centers, multi-unit dwellings, workplaces, hospitals, public transit stations, and park & rides. This program will reimburse District Board approved projects between 50-70 percent of the total costs of infrastructure, charging equipment and installation where the maximum funding amount is determined by meeting general criteria.

Pasadena Water and Power (PWP) - Commercial Charger Incentive Program

A $3,000 rebate for the installation of a smart Level 2 (240V) charging station for commercial, workplace, multi-unit dwelling (MUD), and fleet customers is available for a limited time. The $3,000 rebate applies to each port of a multiple port charger, as long as each user is able to charge simultaneously at full capacity. If charging capacity is reduced when multiple ports are in use - the additional rebate does not apply per port.
A double-incentive bonus (up to $6,000 per charger) is available for sites that meet certain criteria. View the program website for eligibility requirements and incentive details.
A $1,500 rebate for the installation of non-network charging stations is available for commercial customers, for a maximum rebate amount of up to $15,000 per site/account/customer.
