The District is currently accepting applications for its Charge Up! Program. This Program provides funding for public agencies, businesses, and property owners of multi-unit dwellings in the San Joaquin Valley to install electric vehicle (EV) chargers. These chargers will support existing EV owners and encourage the growth of the clean technology in the Valley. Funding is based on charger type, with a $50,000 funding cap per applicant/site.
Level 2 Single Port: $5,000
Level 2 Dual Port: $6,000
Level 3/DC Fast Charger: $25,000

The Northern Sonoma County Air Pollution Control District is accepting applications for the Go Green! Grant Program. The Grant Program provides reimbursements to business, public agencies, or other
organizations within District boundaries that wish to install publicly available EV Chargers.
Level 1 Charging Station: $1,000 per charger
Level 2 Charging Station: $2,000 per charger
DC Fast Charger: $5,000 per charger
Charging Station Installation: $3,000 per charger (no more than $15,000 per project)

In 1990, Assembly Bill 2766 (AB 2766) was adopted into the California Health and Safety Code (CH & SC) Section 44220-44247. AB 2766 authorizes the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to collect a motor vehicle registration clean air surcharge of $4 per vehicle. Revenues generated from AB 2766 are directed for use in the purposes of reducing air pollution from motor vehicles and other related sources needed to implement the California Clean Air Act (CCAA).The District allocates a substantial portion of annual AB 2766 funds to support its DMV Grant Program & DMV Grant Vehicle Voucher Program.. Both programs are designed to provide a mechanism for the fair, unbiased distribution of AB 2766 funds to eligible emission reduction projects located within Eastern Kern County. Eligible DMV Grant Program projects include: Installation of an Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Station, Installation of a CNG Refilling Station, Alternative Fuel Mechanics Training, Public Education Courses, and Innovative Vehicle-Related Emission Reduction Proposal. Eligible projects can qualify for up to $50,000.

This incentive based program is to encourage local entities within the air district to install electric vehicle charging stations to offer public options for vehicle charging. Ideal projects use commerical-type charging equipment that service at least two electric vehicles or more simultaneously. Eligible sites are retail centers, multi-unit dwellings, workplaces, hospitals, public transit stations, and park & rides. This program will reimburse District Board approved projects between 50-70 percent of the total costs of infrastructure, charging equipment and installation where the maximum funding amount is determined by meeting general criteria.

The City of Ukiah's Electric Utility Department provides a rebate of up to $4,000 on a Workplace or Public Level 2 electric vehicle charging station for commercial customers. Qualifying Level 2 (240-volt) charger must be: new and unused; certified by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL Listed); ETL Listed; or approved by the City of Ukiah Community Development Department.

With the growth in EV adoption, the City of Redding recognizes the need for additional fast-charging stations. To encourage investments in charging infrastructure, the City of Redding's Electric Department is offering up to $6,000 toward the installation of qualifying DC Fast Charging stations (up to 4 per customer).
The stations must be separately metered to qualify, and the customer must assign any LCFS Credits to REU. View program website for eligibility requirements and incentive details.

A $3,000 rebate for the installation of a smart Level 2 (240V) charging station for commercial, workplace, multi-unit dwelling (MUD), and fleet customers is available for a limited time. The $3,000 rebate applies to each port of a multiple port charger, as long as each user is able to charge simultaneously at full capacity. If charging capacity is reduced when multiple ports are in use - the additional rebate does not apply per port.
A double-incentive bonus (up to $6,000 per charger) is available for sites that meet certain criteria. View the program website for eligibility requirements and incentive details.
A $1,500 rebate for the installation of non-network charging stations is available for commercial customers, for a maximum rebate amount of up to $15,000 per site/account/customer.

MCE's electric vehicle (EV) charging rebate helps you save significantly on hardware and installation costs, and provides you with technical assistance to make your project a reality. MCE is offering $3,000 per Level 2 (L2) charging port for 2-20 ports per site, plus an additional $500 per charging port with Deep Green 100% renewable energy.

Glendale Water & Power (GWP) offers rebates to commercial and multi-family building customers who install electric vehicle charging stations at their property. Base rebates are the lesser of $50,000 or 50% of the total project cost. Reimbursement is for out-of-pocket expenses for the charger, installation, and permit fees. The City of Palo Alto Utilities (CPAU) is offering Electric Vehicle (EV) Charger rebates for schools, non-profits, and multifamily properties. Qualifying organizations in the CPAU service area can receive up to $80,000 for installing shared use EV chargers.
