Vehicle Tax Credits and Rebates

Uber's Go Electric Incentive is a one-time $4,000 incentive available for Platinum and Diamond drivers who switch to an EV and complete 100 eligible rides by December 31st, 2026. Must apply and be approved before switching to an EV. See website for more details.

San Jose Clean Energy (SJCE) customers that earn less than 100% of Area Median Income (AMI) can qualify for an instant rebate of up to $4,000 off when you purchase or lease a new or used EV at a participating dealership. See website for more information.

Silicon Valley Clean Energy's EV Rebate offers income-qualified residents a $2,000 rebate for purchasing or leasing a new or pre-owned EV or plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. Customers can receive the rebate at the time of sale at participating dealerships or by applying post-purchase. Visit the program website for more information. 

Silicon Valley Power offers incentives to income-qualified customers for the purchase of a pre-owned EV or plug-in hybrid vehicle. Receive $1,500 for a fully electric vehicle or $1,000 for a plug-in hybrid vehicle.

Customers who meet LIHEAP income eligibility requirements may be eligible for a bonus rebate of $1,000. Vehicles with an MPGe of 117 or greater may be eligible for a bonus rebate of $1,000.

The Driving Assistance Program provides grants and affordable financing to help low-income Californians purchase a new or used battery electric, plug-in hybrid or fuel-cell electric vehicle. DCAP offers two pathways to getting into your new clean air vehicle- Clean Cars for All, a scrap and replace program, or Financing Assistance, which does not require a vehicle to be scrapped. Qualified applicants may be eligible for grants up to $12,000 through Clean Cars for All or $7,500 through Financing Assistance. SDG&E offers income-qualified customers an additional $3,000 rebate based on their household level of income for the purchase or lease of a pre-owned EV. Applicants that are eligible for the income-qualified rebate will receive $4,000 total between both the Standard rebate and the Rebate Plus option. Eligible applicants may receive $1,000 for the purchase or lease of a pre-owned BEV or PHEV.

The program provides grants to help residents retire their old vehicles and replace them with zero or near-zero emission vehicle or transit cards. Depending on income and mobility options, participants can receive up to $12,000 for the purchase of an eligible new or used vehicle or the lease of an eligible new vehicle.

RCEA Residential EV Rebate Program offers RCEA customers a $2,000 rebate after purchase of a new or used battery electric vehicle (BEV). Maximum of two rebates allowed per household, one rebate allowed per vehicle. See program website for more information.
